Feilding network changes.

19 December 2025

As part of our Moving Manawatū consultation we asked bus users to let us know what options they wanted to get them to and from Feilding. As part of this consultation we found there was a preference for the 311 Feilding Commuter to travel to and from Palmerston North via Grey St, Palmerston North both ways. Users also wanted to save some time by not travelling into the airport – but still have the option to get to the airport by hopping off at a nearby stop or using a free transfer to the 101 bus service which will stop at the terminal.

On 19 January 2026 the Feilding commuter service will be changing its route.

  • The Feilding 311 Commuter bus will now travel both ways down Grey St in Palmerston North instead of travelling on Featherston Street.
  • The bus will no longer stop at the airport terminal.

These changes have been made in line with the start of the school year, to help minimise disruptions to students.

For those of you who usually get on or off at Featherston St, your nearest options will be a short walk to Grey St, or to Ruahine St depending on your current stop.
